Syms Strategic Group (SSG)  is seeking a talented Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Software Pipeline Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

CI/CD Software Pipeline Engineer

• Support the development and deployment of the data instrumentation and data driven analysis capability for the 805th Combat Training Squadron (CTS).

• Improve CI/CD tools integration/operations and provide full automation of CI testing.

• Develop, scale, and control strategies, standards, guidelines, and governance of Continuous Integration systems.

• Join the ongoing design, implementation, and preservation of systems and tools across the stack.

• Collaborate with internal development and Quality Analysis (QA) teams to help ensure end-to-end quality.

• Write and maintain documentation of infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot and correct issues along the CI/CD pipeline.

• Work directly with the third-party vendors to fix infrastructural issues.

 

Required Skills and Experience

Must have outstanding Interpersonal and communication skills

• Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) DevSecOps practices and reference architectures.

• Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools.

• Knowledge of installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring software security pipeline tools.

• High proficiency in script writing (regardless of language).

• Experience in excerpting metrics and results from CI/CD security tools.

Professional Certifications

Formal Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related fields

Years of Professional Experience

4+ year of experience in CI/CD engineering

Security Clearance Requirements

Must possess a Secret clearance with Top Secret eligibility

U.S. Citizenship Required

Desired Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of popular cloud computing platforms.

• Strong understanding of network essentials and system administration exposure.

• Familiarity with software packing and deployment tools Docker and Kubernetes, version control tools such as GitHub, security/vulnerability tools, code coverage analytical tools, and monitoring tools desired.
