The Retirement Account Specialist plays a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to plan sponsors and participants. This position ensures compliance with IRS and DOL regulations while administering GuideStone’s employer-sponsored retirement plans. The Specialist must navigate a complex recordkeeping system and multiple software applications to maintain the integrity and security of personal and financial data. Additionally, the role involves updating departmental materials and supporting administrative tasks.

 

What You'll Do

  • Process financial transactions with high accuracy and risk awareness.

  • Provide responsive support and retirement education to plan sponsors and participants.

  • Use multiple systems to manage confidential account data.

  • Review legal documents to validate transaction authority.

  • Assist with overflow calls to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Collaborate across departments to update materials and procedures.

  • Maintain and organize departmental documentation and SharePoint content.

  • Support compliance efforts with Legal and Brand Management teams.

  • Prioritize daily tasks and contribute to team operations.

 

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and internal applications.

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Knowledge of retirement plans, tax reporting, and financial concepts.

  • Ability to adapt to change and work effectively under pressure.

  • Professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
