Job Summary

The Associate Software Developer plays a key role in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining business software applications using the Microsoft development stack. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of object-oriented programming and web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—whether through academic coursework or hands-on experience. The developer will contribute to multiple Agile projects, collaborating within Scrum teams to deliver scalable and maintainable web-based solutions and APIs. This role requires a strong desire to learn, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Associate Software Developer is expected to follow established coding standards, participate in all Scrum ceremonies, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork in a dynamic development environment.
 

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Develop web-based solutions and APIs following established patterns

  • Utilize source control system for versioning and submitting code changes

  • Follow established coding standards when writing all code

  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently

  • Willingness and desire to learn and work in the Microsoft stack of tools

  • Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies

  • Motivated problem solver with an interest in automating repetitive tasks.

  • Effectively communicate technical details to technical and non-technical audiences
     

What You'll Need

  • Bachelors of Science in MIS or Computer Science

  • Proven experience and knowledge in any Object Oriented programming language. Class projects are acceptable

  • Experience building web applications in HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Class projects are acceptable

  • Exposure to source control usage and tooling

  • Aptitude to learn complex technical skills and adapt to technology changes

  • Desire to be mentored
