As a member of the Growth Marketing team, the Marketing Strategist supports and implements day-to-day tactics associated with marketing & advertising campaigns designed to help the organization achieve its goals. Providing support toward the execution of strategic goals, outcomes, and deliverables while working alongside Senior Strategists to generate positive output, the Marketing Strategist will utilize a broad skillset and a variety of knowledge.
What You'll Do
Marketing Acumen: Secure knowledge and foundational understanding of marketing and the marketplace, including economic, socio-economic, and political contexts, as well as how our products and services meet the unique needs of specific demographics
Lead Generation: Understand lead cycle and funnel, including brand awareness, lead nurturing, and the ability to generate interest via a variety of channels utilized to ultimately cultivate marketing qualified leads
Communication: Clear and succinct expression of thoughts and ideas; ability to effectively share marketing concepts, ideas, and tactics via both written and verbal communication
Analytics: Evaluate the effectiveness of campaign performance, and recommend adaptation as needed
Decision-Making: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to generate positive outcomes in alignment with strategic marketing plans
Research: Study competitors and trends, evaluate market performance, conduct, and compile research for Senior Strategists
Creativity: Insights and inventive contributions, innovative ideas, and solutions to market and advertise the GuideStone brand, products, and services
Organization: Ability to keep track of all efforts, assignments, tasks, projects, and materials; including the ability to juggle multiple projects and still meet deadlines and maintain composure
Collaboration: Works well with others and maintains a professional demeanor and attitude while doing so; team-minded and able to work alongside others to achieve marketing and business goals
Project Management: Coordinating all the necessary activities and resources to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes. Planning, organizing, and directing the contemplation of specific projects while ensuring projects are on time, budget, and within scope.
Marketing Software: Familiar with a variety of tools that enrich marketing efforts and outcomes; experienced with marketing software and technology
Attention to Detail: Completion of tasks with accuracy leaving no aspects unchecked, unfinished, or unverified; ability to maintain concentration, avoid distractions, as well as structure tasks, time, and resources effectively and efficiently
Goal Setting: Alignment with strategic plans, KPMs, and business goals; ability to adhere to specific and measurable goals and timeframes
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Combination of 2-3+ years of relevant, progressive work experience and education highly preferred.
Understanding of marketing methodologies and strategies
Proven analytical skills
Ability to collaborate with others

Financial, Retirement, Insurance, and/or Church Plan experience preferred though not required
